Plan an appropriate budget for software and hardware systems and supervise the purchase of such systems
Develop strategies that can be successfully used as, the software and hardware systems are integrated into the organization as seamlessly as possible.
Keep current with the latest technologies and implementation processes
Accomplish duties such as research and evaluating different technologies for enhancements or upgrades to servers, networks and other IT infrastructure equipment currently in place.
Analyse IT systems and infrastructure to make recommendations for improvement and growth.
Provide training and resources needed for subordinates who are involved in the implementation and maintenance of new software systems
Manage the identification, assessment and mitigation of risk in relation to software, hardware, system interfaces and connectivity
Survey the unique technological tasks and make the best decisions to achieve the specific goals of their employer
Develop and implement strategies to achieve organizational goals
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field
Minimum 7 years of MIS experience
Must be able to analyze problems and discover the best ways to solve them
Communicate clearly to superiors and give understandable instruction to subordinates
Must be able to allocate resources effectively to reach organizational goals
Must lead and motivate teams to promote efficiency and effectiveness
Proven ability to successfully manage a team of several subordinates
Must be experienced and proficient with a broad range of software and applications
Must have experience managing fleets of devices, including mobile devices
High comfort level with evaluating and selecting software and hardware for various applications
